The operator will inform you whether the documents are telematic or physical and whether they are collected at the place of loading or whether you have to go through a customs office.
In case the client is in charge of customs and the documents are physical, collect the documents (export declaration, packing list and invoice) and once you have the documents, send a copy of them to the traffic operator.
Usually Ebbsfleet or Waterbrook. HTG Express manages the booking and dispatches the driver to the most convenient point according to traffic light delay colours.
In case the customer is not in charge of customs and HTG Express is the one who makes it go through the customs office indicated by the transport operator.
Important to make sure we have the border pass minimum 1h before arriving at the Eurotunnel, if not, inform HTG Express. If you have it, once you arrive there, your license plate will be recognised and if all the customs documents are correct, you will be able to pass directly.
If you do not have a border pass, you will have to go through the PIT STOP to scan the barcodes. The exit will be automatic and you don’t have to stop anywhere else.
